OPEN HEART SERIES

This series is about healing from listening and acting from the heart.

I have been more aware of my mental, physical and emotional state since I went on a journey with breast cancer early 2021.

Aware of my heart when it goes through extreme emotional states, from feeling blessed and unconditionally loved to a feeling of dark repressed thoughts with high levels of fear and depression. And they are all valid and now heard, and it’s OK. Now as an observer, I know I can breathe through it, be compassionate to my mind and kind to my body and heart no matter what.

I worked with one digital image for all pieces as a baseline to create consistency within the series.

Sugarpress Art got the paper and print quality right. I used markers, inks and acrylics to create an original concept for each piece.

We all have a heart that we mostly never listen.

These are some interpretations of the emotional states of my Open Heart.
